Recorded with a Shure Motiv mic, in mid-side mode, into VRP Pro software on an iPad. Mixed in Studio One 3.
Mic was placed next to the stained glass window, behind the soprano section, strategically plcaed so there was less piano reaching the mic.

A bit of guerilla micing for you……

A Christmas Compilation for 2017

This site has a Playlist feature that I’ve never used, so to celebrate the beginning of December here is one with the Christmas music posted to this site [].

Prelude: Praise to the Lord with Pachelbel

Sometimes an experiment works out. The morning of October 22, 2017 I actually got to church early [a miracle in itself] and had time to work out in my head how the chord progression for Pachelbel’s Canon in D meshed with Praise To The Lord [the tune is Lobe den herren].

I know – it’s one of those things that no one ever catches, but at least *I* was grinning internally after playing it.

Prelude: O Worship the King

Performed October 15, 2017.

Prelude: Brethren We Have met

Performed sometime in October, 2017. “Brethren” is one of my favorites to work with – I like what the lyrics say, I like the tune, and it’s a lot of fun to mess around with.

Prelude: Jesus Paid It All plus…..

Performed October 1, 2017. A prelude combining Jesus Paid It All with whatever the Choir anthem was that day. Anybody remember what it was?

That’s what I get for not writing it down!
