I spent about 12 hours this week down at Shadowsound Studio recording the new album. The piano down there is nice to play – I’m able to make that thing sing, and Joey has mic’ed it up very creatively so we will have several options during mixdown.

3 of the piano tunes have been recorded. One took 5 takes to get right. It’s interesting to try and get a performance that is both technically good and emotionally magical….. Tricky, especially since much of this music is improvised.
