I’m taking a course over at Coursera.org on Jazz Improv taught by Gary Burton, the fantastic jazz vibraphonist and jazz educator who teaches at Berklee College of Music – partly to learn something, partly to see how music is taught online, and partly because it’s GARY BURTON!
So far we’ve had to analyze a piano solo that he recorded, and record our own to some backing tracks he provided. I decided to share them here with everybody, mainly because they came out fairly well.
I did these in only ONE take, and I didn’t edit anything, so what you hear is basically live and untouched!
