We had 3 good sessions last week laying down guitar parts on Mixture. These are coming together nicely. The cool thing about this project is the excellent blend of pre-planning and happenstance creativity that is going on.
Joey Stuckey & I started writing this material during the Summer of 2010 I spent the first part of THIS summer laying out and recording the basic tracks in “the outhouse”, my project studio – some are meant for demo (mostly the drum stuff), some were ideas, and some were meant for definite usage.
We will actually keep more of the rough drum material (keyboard percussion, mostly) than I was expecting.
We had several happy accidents last week on Give 5 that proved to be verrrrry interesting.
This week: tightening up a few guitar parts, adding some flute to Give 5 with Monty Cole, and who knows what else!
