I apparently love open 5ths – I play them a lot. Here they really setup a somber, thoughtful mood which relates to the lyrical content.
Listen for the melody here – I sneak it in when you are listening to other stuff going on. Don’t bother trying to tap your feet, though – those questioning hesitations are deliberate…..
